- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I take classes and watch videos to learn new techniques. I then practice, practice, practice. I also spend time experimenting with different flavor combinations and profiles.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I left a successful career in business to become a pastry chef. My friends and family always loved the "goodie baskets" I gave as gifts at Christmas. After talking with a couple of my friends, I decided to sell my house and went to culinary school. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made! I turned my hobby into my career!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I sell and ship a lot of boxed truffles off the website. Locally, I make wedding and special occasion cakes. I have business clients who order trays of breakfast items, cookies and brownies, truffles, fudge, or toffee for staff meetings and sales calls. Some of my clients ship birthday cakes to their family and business clients. I also have brides who order truffles to give as favors.
