I am extremely disappointed with my experience with LBA Services and feel compelled to share it in detail.On 12/16, LBA came out to replace a broken shower arm. A piece of the old arm had broken off inside the pipe. Because I was at work, my adult daughter was home to meet the technician. After assessing the issue, the technician provided two quotes: just over $400 to attempt removing the broken piece and installing a new shower arm, or just under $1,000 to replace pipes and the shower arm. I approved the first option.During the visit, the technician mentioned low water pressure and brought up a prior quote we had received from LBA about a year earlier for pipe replacement. He stated that the technician who provided that quote had added unnecessary costs and had since been fired, and that he would send an updated quote after completing the current job.The technician left to get parts, returned, used our ladder, and completed the work in under an hour. Payment was taken, and that same evening I returned home to find the wall cover for the shower arm lying in the bathtub, the hole in the wall exposed, and the shower arm extremely loose and swaying. Concerned about potential leaks, I emailed LBA immediately after hours requesting assistance.By the morning of 12/17, I had received no response, so I called. I was told a return visit could involve additional charges if an issue was found, and that the earliest available appointment was 12/18. I explained this was my only working shower and asked to escalate the issue, as the job had not been completed correctly. After being placed on hold, I was told the matter was sent to dispatch and to call back if I didnt hear anything.About an hour later, I received a brief call stating someone would come out that day, but no timeframe was given. The tone of the call was abrupt and made me feel like an inconvenience.The same technician returned, again meeting with my daughter. He stated he fixed the issue and showed her that the shower arm no longer moved. He commented that he was hesitant to tighten it further because these things always break and referred to the parts as a piece of crap. At no point was I informed of alternative options or that low-quality parts were being installed. I trusted that a professional company would use quality materials.When I returned home again, I found the wall cover had fallen down around the shower head and that the technician had reinstalled the old cover instead of the new one.On 12/18 at 11:10 a.m., I called and requested to speak with a manager. I was told the manager was at lunch, my information was taken, and I was assured I would receive a callback. As of 9:30 p.m. that evening, I still had not heard from anyone.I chose LBA based on their strong reviews and advertising, but my experience showed a serious lack of attention to detail, poor communication, and weak customer service. To make matters worse, I was told the quote would be free, yet I was charged for it.This situation has been frustrating from start to finish, and I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.
