About
I am a licensed Professional Engineering with over 10 years of experience. I perform residential structural and foundation inspections throughout the Kansas City metro area. If you have cracks in drywall, cracks in your foundation, sloping floors, doors that stick, or any other structural concern, I can provide an inspection and a cost-effective solution to repair that issue, if required. Do you want more of an open concept in your home? I can verify if the wall is load bearing and engineer an appropriately sized beam to ensure you are safe. Consult with a structural engineer prior to putting thousands of dollars into your home!
At this time, I just perform structural and foundation inspections and do not develop plans.

I hired Blake to inspect some cracks and settlement in my basement. He took measurements with a laser level and was able to pinpoint the area of most settlement. His communication was excellent throughout the process, and he clearly explained his findings and recommendation. His professional opinion was definitely worth the clarity and peace of mind.

Blake was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and helped us understand exactly what we needed in order to keep our house structurally sound. He reviewed the quotes we had gotten from various foundation companies too so that we could cut through the noise of a sales pitch. He made sure that all our questions were answered. Really appreciated the outside opinion and would highly recommend Blake.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer competitive pricing that is a great value for structural inspections. Verbal inspections are less expensive than if my client needs a letter or drawing at the end of the inspection so we can coordinate pricing depending on your needs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, I take my time to get to know them and their needs. My occupational goal is to equip homeowners and my clients with the knowledge they need to make good financial decisions about their home. This happens best by building relationships and trust with my clients by spending as much time with them as needed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working as a structural engineer for over 10 years, including work at a large engineering firm, doing mostly commercial projects. I also have a plethora of experience in the residential engineering world and have been performing structural home inspections for over 3 years. In addition, I have my Professional Engineering license in Kansas and Missouri, which allows me to stamp and seal drawings and letters.
