FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Basic recording, editing, and mixing is all $75/hr. If I come to record you at a venue or at your house it's the same, plus some drive time and setup time. If I'm acting as more of a full-on producer then there will be some more to it. Some others are cheaper than I am but I turn out a very good product and will go the extra mile to make you 100% happy.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I just like to start by talking to the customer about their goals for their recording - release on Spotify and everything, use for a video, or something else. Then I like to get a clear understanding of the scope of the recording - multitrack, single-take thing, how many songs or pieces, etc. We figure out whether to do it in my studio or somewhere else, all that. It comes together and the fun begins!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master's degree in music technology from NYU with a focus on concert recording. I've interned at a reputable NYC studio. I've made several commercial releases as an independent recording engineer and producer. I'm a composer/arranger and songwriter and producer. I play guitar and piano and bass and I'm a vocalist.
