FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My basic service costs $30. Pickup and delivery is a minimal additional fee. This will get your computer up and running unless I find major problems that require re-installing the operating system, complete back-up or parts replacement.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to get a basic understanding on what problems the customer is having. Most of the time I can visualize what they are explaining, this allows me to better explain how I can help them. When they drop it off I will ask certain questions that will allow me to proceed with the repair, sometimes I will have to call to get additional information or permission to proceed with a particular repair. After the upgrade or repair is finished I will re test the computer as if there is still a problem, this allows me to verify that it will work for the customer. When the customer picks their computer up, if they have time I will turn it on and show them what I have done; this is mostly concerning the speed of a slow computer after repair. If it is a new version I will also give them a disc that has the current operating system so if they need to fix minor issues they can use the disc making the fix easy at home.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Associates in Network Administration as of December of 2015. I am currently studying for a B.A. in Cyber-Security and Information Systems.
