I have been in the process of a complete remodel of my home for over 8 months. Finally, I had enough. I have a young family and I was spending to much time working instead of with my family. I had an inexpierenced contractor shoot me a low ball bid and i ran with it. The quality of the work was embarressing and i was out the money that i had already paid him. I decided to seek other bids and thats when Deer Creek Construction shot me a bid. From the beginning, he helped give me advice on certain aspect of what would be more effective and a better way to go about it. The communication was fantastic. Anytime he ran into something that we hadnt discussed, he would simply call me or text me and ask what i wanted to do about it. For me that was very important. They did everything from hanging sheet rock, installing windows, doors, fixing a water line, mudding, tapeing and painting. I couldnt have asked for a better group of guys to work with.

Complete bathroom remodel. Bathroom was 90 % gutted. Plumbing was rearranged and two days spent on correcting electrical issues. If you are looking for a complete contractor that rarely sub-lets any work out Mark and his nephew Luke are amazing. They are skilled in all aspects of construction from A-Z and money will be saved in the long run.Their attention to detail and quality of work is incredible. They are dependable and honest, let me repeat honest. For the money you spend Deer Creek Construction will not only meet your expectations they will exceed them.

I hired Mark to fully renovate a 2-car garage into a guest cottage, complete with lofted bedroom. Mark provided a very low cost estimate ($25,000) and timeframe (4 weeks). At first I was very impressed with Mark's knowledge and professionalism. He asked me questions to make sure that he understood every aspect of the project and made good design suggestions. He and his nephew Luke were tidy, cleaning up the work area each day. Then slowly they started taking days off, which turned into weeks off. When they would show up it would only be for 3 or 3 1/2 hours instead of a full day, even though they were grossly behind the estimated timeframe. They would show up at 10 or 10:30am, work for a short while, then leave for a 2-hour lunch, spend another 5-20 minutes staring at their phones in the truck, then eventually leaving for the day before 4pm. Then Mark went incommunicado. The subcontractors that Mark hired showed up to the work but Mark wasn't around to provide direction, leaving me to call and text him their questions but not getting any response. Eventually Mark took 5 entire weeks off for personal financial reasons. The "4 week" project dragged to over 7 months and still isn't complete. The interior wall wasn't sealed properly at the roofline and Mark neglected to put down tar or felt paper on the roof; the shingles were laid directly on top of the plywood. The roof was hastily done near the end of the project and it seems that he was pretty tired of it and checked out, cutting corners where he could. Eventually he presented me with an invoice for $5000 over estimate for costs that were never discussed or approved. After I gave him a 50% deposit to install the siding (which was bid as a separate project) he completely stopped returning my calls, texts, and emails. I haven't seen him since.
