Introduction: 19 years in the nursing home industry as a maintenance director or maintenance supervisor. Remember, when you run a nursing facility you are operating a small town of 70 to 90 residents. I have done this to the best of my abilities for many years. I still offer my services to nursing facilities and get several calls, as i am semi-retired.. I find it a good thing when i can help someone out and they know that the quality work was done at a decent wage that both could afford and that they feel comfortable in knowing that they can call me again anytime and i will be there. This comes from my believing that i worked for the residents and NOT the facility. This has always been my belief, that these people are my moms and dads, not just another room down the hall.
