John took engagement photos for my wife and I at the American Sign Museum, the shoot lasted about 2 hours and he produced and gave us a lot of photos. The whole experience was excellent. John was full of creative ideas for locations inside the museum and made us feel extremely comfortable. He produced and gave us a disc of a ton of pictures, and we were beyond pleased - and his rates were low considering the quality of work. I genuinely cannot think of a downside to using Fresh Start Photo and we will definitely utilize John again in the future.

Dawn and John did a great job with our family photos. They picked a nice location, and were able to work well with a large group of people, to take some great shots. They were on time, friendly, and efficient. I would highly recommend them.

Fresh Start Photo has a strong artistic eye and a knack for catching great candid shots. John photographed our beach wedding in Mexico 2 years ago and not only provided stunning photos, but professional service and a quick turnaround on processing the photos (which any newlywed couple will tell you is one of the most important things a photographer can do!). You won't see too much "over-processing" in their work, which makes their photos feel natural and capture the moment as it was - which I find very refreshing in a time where everything is Instagram filtered!

Photograph a bedroom. John is a One stop shop. You tell him what you need and when - he takes care of the rest. it's seamless and the work is excellent. The Most talent you can squeeze into one photographer!

John and Dawn made it very easy and stress free to do a family photo shoot with our 3 children (one at that fun age of 3). They were able to capture each individual personality and quirks in some amazing photos. His candids were priceless! We had an absolute blast that day. AND we have gotten SO many compliments on our photos. We plan on using Fresh Start Photo again. I would highly recommend them!!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to have a phone conversation or actually meet for coffee and discuss their needs and explain what we can offer as well as "brain storm" the photo session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am continually meeting with other area photographers to learn and occasionally assist. I also read every photography magazine and book I can find to stay current with trends and technological advancements. Being an excellent photographer is a never-ending learning process and I love the challenge.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with families, friends, co-workers, and area businesses. We love working with people in all walks of life. Everyone has photographic needs and we are happy to provide quality work at a reasonable price.
