Kara is excellent with all animals! She is loving but firm. She has a great sense of how animals interact with humans and each other. She is certainly gifted and her passion shows whenever she is around any type of animal: horse, dog, you name it!
K9 safari is wonderful, Marlize watched my two dogs my cat and even checked on my horse. She is not expensive and she did amazing with my animals she sent me pictures so I knew during my whole vacation that they truly were better then ok.
My dog Willow spent several months living with Sam and working on service dog training this past year. Sam did an amazing job helping willow transition from needing constant direction to be able to work independantly. She has an amazing talent and relationship with all the dogs she works with and truly speaks dog. Willow is now able to assist me in ways which she was unable to before. Furthermore, I continue to get support and help from Sam on a constant basis. She is highly recommended.
Creature Comforts provides the best possible training, walking, sitting and overnight boarding that I have ever experienced, as a pet owner. When Barrie comes to pick up my dog, she is excited to see Barrie and doesn't look over her shoulder to me as she leaves the house, I know that I have a happy, contented dog with Creature Comfort's care.
Dixon seems to really like going. He is excited once he gets there, and is happy when I come get him. Andrew and his wife seem to really love animals, and I like the fact it is in a home, and not a kennel. He has only gone 2 times so far, but I am satisfied.
David Harris is without a doubt the best dog trainer in KY. He took me and my dog in for a consultation and we were sold! My dog is so well behaved now, and I learned too. I can take my dog anywhere and I always get compliments on how good he is. thanks ARTc
After adopting my German Shepherd, I wanted put him in training for multiple reasons. The first reason was for obedience training because of his unknown history, I didn't think he had any training. The second reason was to create a closer working relationship with him. The third reason was that I wanted to fix his reaction towards other dogs. He wasn't aggressive towards others but it was like he had no idea how to behave politely around other dogs. I looked for trainers and found someone who trained German Shepherds and other breeds. This is where my dog (and me) was trained with a prong (or pinch) collar. At first I didn't have a problem with the prong but after 6 weeks of training, I realized that we still weren't where I wanted us to be as a team, so I went looking again for trainers. I came across Mandy through my mother who enrolled her puppy into Manner's Matter Puppy Foundation. So I thought I would give Manner's Matter K9 Manner Training a try and entered us in Beyond Basics (now called Basic Manners Two). This was the first time I had ever done "positive training"; although, I had been debating about using a clicker. During the first day of my training, Mandy asked to see us work together, which we did the basics like heel, come, sit, down, stay etc. At the time, I told Mandy I wasn't comfortable taking the prong collar off of my dog and she said that was okay, but the next training time she pushed me to not use the prong. She also stated that if I wanted to still have his prong on, I could but only have a short drag line on the prong and have his leash on the flat collar. So the next training session I took her advice and only used his flat collar but had a small drag line that didn't touch the floor on his prong. It was an adjustment for both my dog and me because I had been using the prong as a crutch. However, by the last two training sessions we had finally graduated off the prong! The experience I had with Mandy was very eye-opening for me because I had learned that my dog was only doing the commands that I had asked out of fear. He was afraid of getting corrected by the prong collar and the only way to not get corrected was to do the command I asked for, whether he liked it or not. Since we graduated from Manners Matter K9 Manner Training, a year ago, I am proud to say that I have a dog that is willing to do anything, even if it is something that I didnt ask for. He is willing to try to get the right answer and keep trying until he gets it right. I cannot thank Mandy enough for teaching me and showing me the possibilities we now have as a team because of positive training. If you are looking for a trainer, Mandy at Manners Matter- K9 Training is the real deal and has changed the way I work with my dog and future dogs.
No one bothered to call me back so obviously they don't want or need the business
Having just moved to Lexington, I was at a loss as to who would watch our dog since we have never kenneled him. I'm so glad we found Jessica! She was amazing with our dog and I know he was well cared for with her. She was professional but also caring - she definitely put this mama at ease with updates while we were gone. She even straightened our house up a little which was an amazing sight after traveling all day long! I highly recommend her for your animal care needs!
Very friendly and patient with dogs. Excellent trainer.
Sue has had extensive experience with dogs starting with a course she excelled in during her last year of high school. She is and always has been an animal lover. Her experience extends to horses, alpacas, llamas and sheep. I would heartily recommend her for any position that requires an animal lover as I have witnessed first hand her capabilities.
