My wife & I decided it was time to have the house exterior painted. As usual when faced with a project too big for me to take on, I reached out to several contractors (six, to be exact), to solicit bids. As usual, I received replies from half and was ignored by the rest.
Although the price is a factor, it is not always the deciding factor for us. We need to feel comfortable with whomever we hire for the job. Such was the case here.
We immediately felt comfortable with Douglas Canales. Much more so than the other contractors who responded. We found Douglas to be friendly, courteous and well prepared. He was honest and candid as we discussed with him the work we wanted done. If a task wasn’t within his expertise, he told us so. He explained to our satisfaction the scope of the work he would do, the materials he would use and why, and the time frame in which he could finish the job.
Douglas and his crew completed the job exactly as he told us. There were no surprises. He and his crew displayed a high level of knowledge and competency and demonstrated an exemplary work ethic.
My wife and I were completely satisfied with the job and would gladly hire Douglas again. We highly recommend Douglas Canales to anyone needing a professional painter.

Douglas and his crew were wonderful from beginning to end. Douglas reached out quickly to schedule a visit for an estimate and then worked with me to get the paint job done as soon was feasible. The crew arrived more than on time, was professional, and delivered satisfactory results. Throughout the day, Douglas kept me updated on progress, and he went above and beyond to get my ceiling and staircase painted. I couldn’t be happier with the work and will definitely hire Canales Painting again whenever I need a professional painter to step in.

I can’t even begin to say how happy I am with Canales Painting! Their work is flawless. They did a complete exterior paint on an early 1900’s 2 story cottage style house with a steep gabled roof. He prepped and painted the entire exterior, including trim, doors and shutters. Their experience was evident from the first day: top notch equipment, excellent prep work, taping, plastic sheeting and complete cleanup. Douglas’s professionalism, kindness, attention to detail and the overall experience with him was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. He is a person who can assess a job and make recommendations; he follows up at each and every stage of the job, shows up on time and always has a great attitude and smile. I can recommend him with the utmost confidence, because of how trustworthy he is. I would not hesitate to recommend him to any friend or neighbor, and will be using his services again on future projects. His team is efficient, a very fair price for top quality work.
