As new home-owners, busy parents and avid DIY' rs, we recently hired Rogelio to help us take care of the health of our new lawn/yard and to also restore the beautiful green that the previous owner let slip away. All I can say is,.. We have been MORE than impressed with his work and professionalism already and we're just starting the spring/summer season! He has worked on our green space rain or shine, answered all of our concerns immediately, ALWAYS shows up on time with a great big smile and truly takes his time to make sure that we are thrilled with the job. He's even helped me plan my organic vegetable-garden space for a maximum yield and was very knowledgeable about where/how to use different materials (organic fertilizers etc) to address any of my "OCD mama-brain" concerns. He is in one word AmAZinG and you NEED to hire this man if you're looking for a job well done and a professional with a pleasant/genuine demeanor.. and did I mention rain or shine?! We are very grateful to have found him on Thumbtack and once you meet him you will be too! Thank you Rogelio for the love and dedication you've given to our lawn/yard. Big GREEN thumbs up :D

Jim and company did a wonderful job on my front garden area. it was totally overgrown and you could not see the front of my house at all. As you can see from the photo, it looks wonderful now. They understood exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend Visions of Paradise for any of your landscaping needs.

Woodlawn has taken care of my yard and gardening for over a year now. I couldn't be happier with the dependability of the workers and how outstanding my yard always looks. Would definitely recommend them for any services!

I'm a professional and experienced landscaper. I aim to please and also am able to do other task around the house and yard. Give me a call or shoot me a text.

I am just starting out. I helped create and maintain multiple gardens with my grandparents. I became the expert in creating deeply dug edges that last at least 2 years before having to be redone. I have gone to help create a unique garden in a garden home, assisting with the building of a waterfall and koi pond.

I am an experienced landscaper who focuses on making lawns stand out from the normal, boring or outdated look that just makes the home fade into the neighborhood. If you want to get compliments on your outdoor curb appeal, give me a call. I offer advice and design consultations as well as shopping and plant care tips. I also do interior decor projects and repurpose furniture. I can take your items you already own and give them new life within you home or garden.

I will do any kind of lawn and garden work: mowing, trimming, leaf removal, trimming shrubs, and light tree trimming. I also do planting and pressure washing. I have 40 years of experience. I offer reasonable prices. No job is too small or too big.

When I work at something I stick to the task at hand. I don't mess around and I work better by myself, work gets done faster. For me I like a good challenge.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to have landscaping done?

Professional landscaping can help reinvent your outdoor space, boost your curb appeal and get a major return on investment with. Landscaping can encompass anything from adding new plants, trees and shrubs, to leveling the ground and laying sod for a lawn, to building in hardscaping such as sidewalks, water features or retaining walls. The national average landscaping price is $10,160. Landscaping prices can be far lower (with hourly rates ranging from $50 to $150) if you’re only seeking professional help with softscaping or seeking consultation on landscape design. Softscaping means adding or changing horticultural elements, such as planting a garden or adding a hedge. Hardscaping is where costs can really start to rise. Hardscaping requires labor and heavy equipment to excavate the earth; you may need to pour concrete, or you may need a pro who can transport and place gravel and other inorganic elements. Your total landscaping cost will vary based on the amount of work you want done, how much labor is required, and the cost of the materials you are using. A good rule of thumb for a major landscaping project, according to the American Society of Landscape Architects, is to budget 5 percent to 10 percent of the value of your home.

How much does it cost to landscape your front yard?

Prices for landscaping your front yard can range from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars, depending on the scale of your front yard project. Your landscaping price will reflect how much change you implement, how much labor is required, and the cost of materials.

Landscaping is typically made up of softscaping and hardscaping. Softscaping refers to selecting trees, bushes, flowers and plants to achieve a desired aesthetic and to meet goals such as having a drought-tolerant yard. Hardscaping refers to moving earth, installing structures, and putting in decorative stonework, sidewalks or lighting. For softscaping, you may want to hire a landscape designer to consult on your plants and layout, and then do the digging and planting yourself or hire a gardner to handle the heavy lifting. A landscape designer’s hourly rate may range from $50 to $150 or more. If you want a turnkey approach, meaning someone who works with you to create the vision and then executes all the work, landscaping pricing will typically come down to a cost per square foot rather than an hourly rate. It’s a solid investment: Great landscaping can add up to 28 percent value to your home.
