My first lesson with Michael was, in a word, transformative.
I am genuinely looking forward to future lessons.
As a not-so-new player that remains a beginner overall, I was surprised to find that in one hour Michael fundamentally changed the way I view my technique. How often does that happen?!
My only hesitance at first was the digital nature of the lessons. I thought it would be a real obstacle for me, but Michael made excellent use of time and engaged me with strong, open-ended questions that made me think.

As i have attempted to pickup guitar on my own a few times in the past years only to get frustrated and stop, i decided to look for an instructor to guide me into what i am doing wrong and allow me to progress. I decided on Lisa as her back ground and written approach seemed to mirror what i was looking for. After the first lesson she had me playing music in an area i struggled, ie rythm/chord progression. She taught me three easy chords that sound great together. All my previous online or self help courses started out with very challenging chords. The simple approach to begin has brought back the eagerness to learn and fun back into guitar. We will get back to those harder chords as my skills develop. Lisa is very knowledgeable. I look forward to continuing this journey.
