I have taught for over twenty years. I teach form and cut time which can’t be learned online. Firstly, I teach students to strum rhythmically using one note chords. Then, students can play guitar for life without another lesson. Lastly, after a few lessons students tell me what they prefer to learn. In addition, classes are taught in a beautiful historical mansion. This in itself is a wonderful experience. Most studios I have taught are dusty closed in next to a parking lot. This is a beautiful place to learn music. Music is a beautiful art form- the math, form, and imagination elements. Music lessons develops creativity that permeates to all facets of a persons' life. I teach cut time to anchor and form to fly while sailing the waves of imagination. Music is the best. Me too!

As i have attempted to pickup guitar on my own a few times in the past years only to get frustrated and stop, i decided to look for an instructor to guide me into what i am doing wrong and allow me to progress. I decided on Lisa as her back ground and written approach seemed to mirror what i was looking for. After the first lesson she had me playing music in an area i struggled, ie rythm/chord progression. She taught me three easy chords that sound great together. All my previous online or self help courses started out with very challenging chords. The simple approach to begin has brought back the eagerness to learn and fun back into guitar. We will get back to those harder chords as my skills develop. Lisa is very knowledgeable. I look forward to continuing this journey.

While I'm confident Lisa tailors her lessons to an individual student's desired pace, she has the ability to teach with the kind of speed and rigour that serious players are looking for. She shines the most with her knowledge and taste for music. She seems to have a deep understanding of the music theory that's relevant to teaching someone the guitar. Lisa has proven to me that she cares about my growth through her kind but telling actions. Small things, such as keeping me after the scheduled time free of charge, so that we could work on some concepts. A solid pick for a guitar teacher!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $30.00 per class. Payment is for 8 classes in a month to guarantee time slot. Payment is made in Full for 8- 30 minute classes or 4 one hour classes. First class is a free music class demo to assure of this investment.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I teach correct form and tempo firstly. Then, we work towards students' unique goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Studied three years privately as child, five years privately at university of music school of music, gen six more years with rock and classical guitar teachers. I studied fourteen years total private lessons.
