Reading and Math Tutoring by Wendy

Introduction: I tutor children in grades K-4th in Math. I start with the basic concept and then work on the more abstract. For example, I have the child use counters and then move to fingers and then to more abstract. I have a BS Degree in Education from University of Louisville. I worked at Sylvan Learning Center for two years. I am now working by helping children with their homework in the YMCA CEP after-school program. I also help children with reading skills. I tutor children in grades 1st-3rd in reading. I use phonics whenever I can and mix in some games to reinforce the learning.
