FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I shoot mostly weddings and engagement sessions. I love the tone and beauty of weddings. People bring their best selves to weddings, and it is often the one moment when one has an excuse to really present a couple's style to the world. Moreover, everyone is so emotional and happy on wedding days, I can't think of anything more gratifying than to bring my camera to a couple's most momentous occasion!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I think when you are looking for a wedding photographer you need to consider your own personal style, and find a photographer whose shooting style reflects that. I also think it is important to find a photographer who has a great eye, who is responsive, quick, and who has excellent command over his equipment. When I am shooting weddings and couples I look for meaningful moments to capture and seek out the impressive details of the environment that set the tone. In general, I let the couple's personalities and backdrop guide me, although I also go into each shoot with a blueprint that I reference often. Once you determine the style of photography that you want, ask the photographer who will be shooting your wedding. If the photographer has double booked the date, he or she will be sending an associate to photograph your wedding. A camera in one person's hand is completely different from that in another's. Humbly, I suggest that a photographer who sends someone else to photograph your wedding defeats all of your hard legwork in choosing the right photographer for you.
