FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
A friend asked me to do a maternity boudoir shoot and I turned her down. The next year another friend asked me to do a shoot and I needed the money and she convinced me that I was the only person she trusted to do it. I did that first shoot and it was horrible. Not awkward but I wasn't sure how to tell her to move or what to do. I took a class and turned out to be a natural. Now I get to be an great alternative to some creepy photographers and I'm able to make women feel beautiful.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Normally... We spend an hour doing professional hair and make up, then a two hour shoot in one of multiple settings. I have a studio with multiple options, each with its own personality.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I am on a mission to make all women feel beautiful. Most boudoir photography you see is of skinny, young, attractive, white girls. I am trying to get women of all shapes, sizes, races, and ages to help spread the message that everyone is beautiful. I just finished my first shoot with a beautiful plus size beauty. Pictures turned out great and she is going to surprise her future husband as a wedding gift!
