We offer basic life saving training for layman, healthcare providers, and childcare providers. This includes CPR both pediatric and adult, BLS for healthcare providers, First aid, and blood-borne pathogens safety. Our classes are taught by EMS providers. We strive to insure that all students not only know the material but also can adequately and accurately perform all skills required in the class of choice.
We are offering CPR and first aid training for health-care and lay persons as well as Heartsaver for persons under 18 years old.
I try to engage my students through the entire class; instead of rely on a video to teach for me. I also like to give students the bigger picture of exactly where they fit into the emergency response system and the importance of their role in a patient's long term recovery.
We are the YMCA of Southwest Indiana. We teach swim lessons for everyone from six-month old babies to adults. We are looking for swim instructors and lifeguards. The Y is a great place to work. After orientation, you'll receive a free family membership. If you are looking for a place to work, the YMCA is great. We'll train you and you can get certified in CPR, first aid and emergency oxygen. We incorporate the core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith in all of our programs.
I like to be able to teach the life-saving skill of CPR in a way that students will remember what they learned, so that if they are ever put in a real-life situation - they will know what to do and react with minimum panic.
We provide traditional courses as well as blended learning courses. I have worked in Critical Care for 11 years and enjoy bring the knowledge associated with my profession to my students.
I offer massage therapy, lypotherapist and body wraps. I am always learning different massage techniques to help my clientele.
I have ALOT of experience in the Medical field first hand as to what the signs and syptoms are, what to expect, and what to watch for. Also, I am an outgoing instructor... I am serious about what I teach...serious enough to realize being laid back and making my student feel comfortable in their envioroment will most likely help them gain the information BETTER than me coming off like a know it all and that I'm out to get you if you dont get what I'm teaching. Meeting different people and hearing about their profession and what caused them to get into the line of work they are in.
Think Safe is unique from other training centers in that we know and understand all certifying major training organizations. Think Safe owns the First Voice product line and is a manufacturer and developer of software and hardware that brings technology to the world of emergency response. Products developed and sold by First Voice are intended to be used by the average lay rescuer, who is infrequently trained and may need coaching real-time during any emergency or want easier access to refresher training in order to be more prepared for emergencies. Thus, our technical experts at Think Safe include Certified Instructors, and healthcare professionals that have over 150 years experience in pre-hospital emergency care and know the protocols and curriculum and teaching methods and mechanisms of all the major certifying agencies. At the end of all of our certified training sessions, students receive a 1 year to 3 year certification. Also, all students must perform a training drill at the end of class that is pertinent to their workplace protocols to include scene safety, the assessment of any victim(s), initiating the emergency action plan, calling 911 and other emergency notification numbers, starting compressions, getting others to help and switching compressor roles, performing breaths when using proper rescue breathing barriers, clearing the scene, proper record keeping procedures and intake forms, EMS flaggers, first aid treatment procedures, and more . Our training center and trainers utilize the best technology and tools available when performing CPR training courses. Tools utilized include American Heart Association (AHA) compliant cognitive feedback devices such as Prestan CPR feedback manikins or The Loop CPR gaming platform. Students receive access to online manuals and refresher training anytime including course handouts and skills review handouts. Our training center portal for students that have taken our courses also includes training drills and training scenarios for ongoing responder team use during future practice sessions. There is amazing satisfaction in teaching people simple yet effective basic life support techniques or other key basic emergency response tips - things that save lives and decrease disability and legal liability.
