Introduction: My professional counseling and assessment services are designed for adolescents and adults who are struggling with mental health, substance abuse, and/or relationship problems. My clients are motivated to seek positive changes in their personal life and relationships. They prefer brief but comprehensive strategies that target the various complex dimensions of the presenting problem while emphasizing their strengths, abilities, and practical solutions. During the counseling and assessment process, I strive to create a compassionate, non-judgmental, Christian-value-based approach that seeks to empower my clients, and focus on their strengths and needs rather than overly emphasizing the problem nature of their situation. My professional experience spans over 35 years, and includes both counseling and faculty positions in counseling and social work at three major universities in Louisiana.
