After not having success with my 9-year old daughter’s first introduction to violin, I reached out to Ruth Roland in hopes that a new instructor and learning approach might be the necessary spark to reengage my daughter’s initial excitement about learning to play violin. Without a doubt, it was one of the best decisions for her learning journey. After an initial assessment, Ruth communicated a clear lesson plan that identified weekly goals for both me and my daughter. Most importantly, her patience, flexibility and use of both individual and group lessons have significantly increased my daughter’s confidence in her ability to learn and progress. I truly realized that we had turned a corner when she began to learn new and more advanced songs within days and even asked to join her school’s band so that she could learn a new instrument. Needless to say, I wholeheartedly recommend lessons with Ruth Roland!

Our experience has been wonderful. I have two children studying with Ms Ruth, and they are doing great. She is an amazing teacher who works with each student individual needs to make them shine.
