After capturing really special moments of tenderness and love on a wedding day for 18 years (over 650 weddings) I've discovered that each wedding is completely unique because each of my clients have their own interesting personality, style, and needs. My approach to wedding photography is imbued with a sense of creative storytelling and previsualization. By that, I mean that I have a skill for quickly getting a sense of the space where I'm shooting and a feel for the bride and groom, and I can visualize what I want a photo to look like long before I press the shutter button. In that sense, I'm creating something new, spontaneously...something that will last over the years and give you an emotion-packed reminder of what happened on your special day. A great wedding photographer can capture moments as they happen, in a variety of situations, under pressure, with skill, grace, and creativity. He/she knows the light, composition, equipment, and technique required to capture that moment and turn it into a gorgeous image. A great wedding photographer is a portrait photographer, a food photographer, an action/sports photographer, a still life photographer, a lifestyle photographer, and a documentary photojournalist all wrapped into one. Beautiful images come from a photographer who has a lot of experience, so don't trust someone who "just got into photography" or the person offering the lowest price to create beautiful visual memories...trust experience.
