FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Everyone starts with a free lesson. If you choose to continue from there my weekly rates are: 30 min (only for 8 and younger): $40 45 min (most popular, and generally what I recommend for anyone 8+): $55 60 min (generally best for those who want more things to practice every week than usual): $65
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we coordinate our schedules. Make sure there's a time you can do every week that is the same day/time. I'll hold that time for you. Then I'll go over the set up process with you so you're totally ready (it's easy. You'll just need a phone and a computer and it's like setting up an email). Then we'll schedule a free lesson. From there, totally up to you to continue. But if you do, the time you picked on the schedule is yours to keep until you tell me otherwise.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'll try to keep this short but I was raised in a musical environment. My first instrument was actually clarinet. I had the epiphany when I was 15 to start playing guitar and I quickly became obsessed. I got every book I could get my hands on (this was pre-internet) and scoured them. I got myself a teaching job in 2001 and the rest is history. And when I say history I mean: I went on to teach for several companies/schools; I opened and ran a music venue/recording studio for 9 years; I travelled the country for 4 years straight; I had several bands and musical projects; and all along the way, I never stopped teaching because it is my ultimate passion- almost as big as my love for music itself
