Brandon was friendly from the start and I immediately felt comfortable working with him. He helped address some technical problems I had picked up during self-study and then went through ideas for future study and skills to work on for our next lesson. He responds quickly through text and has been happy to supply extra materials and answer questions I have.

Brandon is a very talented guitarist who is dedicated and patient with his students. Comes well prepared with lesson plans but is also flexible to best meet your needs so you get the most out of your session. He emails you recordings to help you practice afterwards. 100% recommend.

Brandon is well versed in a variety of musical styles. He has quickly identified aspects of my guitar playing that are holding back my progress. He provides encouragement while also helping me develop a more correct and fundamentally sound approach to practice and musical development.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initially, we'll discuss your goals with the guitar. Whether you're aiming to play professionally or just looking to learn guitar as a hobby, I'll help you realize your goals with personalized instruction based on your own learning styles and musical interests.
Having a strong background in musical composition, I enjoy incorporating elements of ear training, sight-reading, and improvisation into my lessons to help students develop a well-rounded skill set. I also like to use resources such as music apps, practice journals, and guitar method books.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans' music program, where I studied both jazz and classical guitar, earning a Bachelor of Music in Composition. I also attended the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts (NOCCA), focusing on jazz guitar. I have experience in both solo and ensemble performance, including jazz big band and chamber ensembles.
