It has been such a joy to work with Uptown Girls Pet Sitting. I now travel in peace. I know that my beloved pets are more than well taken care of by responsible and loving sitters. Every time I return home I find the pets relaxed, happy and our home looking wonderful. Thank you ladies ! Much love

I moved to downtown New Orleans several months ago and needed a good pet sitter for my 10 yr old Great Dane. I work long hours and often travel overnight. She is a sweet girl but can be assertive towards other dogs when on a leash. Courtney and Jack are amazing! Jack walks my baby every day and has been flexible when my schedule changes last minute. I love getting pictures and texts with each visit. I would highly recommend Courtney and Jack. They have given me peace of mind that my fur baby is well taken care of and happy when I can't be home with her.

I hired Kanine Krewe when my regular cat sitter was unable to help me on Memorial weekend. I was scrambling to find help and they were happy to do a last min interview and booking. The advertising had focused so much on dogs I had been a bit worried if they were able to work with cats, but my cats loved Kelly! She even made sure my bully cat didn't eat all the wet food! She took all the stinky garbage out of the house and washed all the cat food bowls, and my cats were calm and happy when I got home. Everything was above and beyond what I could have asked for. And the pricing was even at a better rate. I can't thank them enough...they have my business for good!

I am so grateful that I found Courtney. Our pups had never been to a sitter before, so I was more nervous than they were. Courtney was so patient and nurturing with them...I knew that they we're in good hands. They had a great week with her. She sent pictures and video throughout the week. I would not hesitate to bring them to Courtney the next time we go out of town.

We've known Cambre since she was a vet tech at Audubon Veterinary Hospital and she provided immaculate service & care to not only our felines, but every animal that crossed her path. She became our pet sitter immediately upon opening this business. How awesome that our bebe`s do not have to go through what used to be a traumatic boarding experience, but get personal visits, playtime & provision from such a loving and lovely person! She cared for Billie Holiday & Francis Poulenc until their passing (at 11 & 12 years of age). She cared for Bootsie until her recent passing at age 18+. We have continued joy and peace of mind that she cares for our newest additions to the family, Josephine & Theodora Louise! We are smitten with them and we're all smitten with Cambre! With much appreciation & gratitude - Love you!

Sylvia cared my cats at her home during 2 weeks. She was so nice with them! I recommand her to anybody who's searching a great cat sitter!

I am a New Orleans based pet sitter/dog walker. I am a Tulane graduate and a future veterinary student who is passionate about animal care! I've worked at a zoo, wildlife hospital, and small animal private practice, so I'm comfortable handling and caring for any type of pet. I'm dedicated to making sure the pets under my care are happy and healthy. I look forward to hearing from you!

I provide fun care. I have two dogs and a cat, and I feed them three times a day.

I am a trusted dog lover. I can walk or sit with your animals, and I can also train them. You can call me for behavioral trouble; I can help.

My business is unique in that there are so set parameters that would limit or inhibit the services which I provide. I try to list a few so potential clients have an id ea the type of services I tend to gravitate toward but that but any speciql request even those that may be peculia4 or controversial will be considered and at the very least attempted. So don't be shy. I love surprises and new challenge. I dare you to try to shock me lol

I love dogs and cats, and they usually love me. I am laid-back, and I have a flexible schedule. I like to visit first and get your personal instructions for your pet. I am a semi-retired psychiatric nurse, and I am very grateful to be able to care for pets. I have no difficulty in medicating pets, etc. I have multiple references in the Houston area.

Quality service

I offer in-home pet sitting to allow your pet to remain comfortable at home while you travel. With two to three visits a day, each visit includes feeding and medicating, cleaning when necessary, play/cuddle time, over 30 minutes of walk, and extra services like mail and newspaper pickup. I also offer 30-minute and hour-long walk with special rates for repeat customers!

We do pet sitting in your home, small dog boarding in ours. Daily walking services are available for those who work long hours and don't want to leave their pet at home alone to suffer all day. We are fully insured, and we have local references. You may check out our website as well.

I'll take good care of your pet/pets. I'm best at looking after pets and showing them love. I love pets.

I have pet sit for my friends and family. I love being around pets. Ever since I was smaller, I've always wanted to have a job dealing with pets. I find it very fun and interesting to learn more about pets because all are unique in their own way.

Exceptional Dog care for small dogs. Will not just watch your pups but will inteact, play with and pet them. We have two small friendly dogs so your dog will always have company!

My name is tachayanne I’m a very hard worker I put my all into my job cause I love what I do, Im always willing to learn new things plus I’m a fast learner. I do have experience in housekeeping and with pets. I worked at belladoggie spa for dogs back in 2016, I was with them for bout two and a half years. I also worked at camp bow wow for almost a year. With both doggie jobs I had to maintenance the play yard which alLowed up to 10 -20 dogs. I would watch them play and make sure they were safe and no fights. I even bath dogs I was a bather at both locations, even pet sit from time to time. Now those were my pet friendly jobs, now my housekeeping history. I worked at the Hyatt Regency Hotel for just a few months cause pay was to little, but my duty’s there was that I had to Basically go from room to room and deep clean it from top to bottom if it was a person leaving out that room that day basically I would make the bed vacuum do deep clean bathroom whip mirrors do windows just the basic necessities of doing a deep clean. Now if any one wasn’t leaving the room and you were staying we would do turnover which we would just go in make beds change them if needed vacuum dust clean bathrooms and restock anything that needed. I also worked at the Natchez hotel, the saint Phillip hotel, and jazz house bed and breakfast. At all those hotels I basically did the same thing I would make beds vacuum mop floors clean kitchen wash dishes start dishwasher wash clothes if needed. I even worked at restaurants like two sister, two sister n east, and chicken and watermelon. For my restaurant jobs I was a cook I would cook like comfort food Sandwiches, salads, Poy boys, Fried foods like porkchops chicken shrimp’s, etc, prep cook I would prep potato salad sandwiches basically just prep food for the next day and a dishwasher I would go out and gather all the dirty dishes from out on the tables and bring them back to the back and I would just basically start running them through the dishwasher which they have a commercial dishwasher. This is just a some up of my work history. Plus I am a very hands on person I get the job done in with the time I am giving and I don’t give up until I’m done. I have a great attitude I’m always on time I’m either on time or ver early. I’m 24 so yes I am still young and I could move things bend pick up things I am not scared to get dirty. I love to stay busy and this sounds like the right job for me so I hope I hear back from you. Just give me a chance and I’ll show you!! I Perfer talking through text or by phone

I love all animals, especially dogs and cats. I'm a great and dependable person. I would love to take them out for a while to stretch their legs.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much should you pay for a pet sitter?

Pet sitting provides your precious pet with in-home care. A pet-sitter can make a brief visit during the day to provide snacks, playtime or affection, or stay at your house for one or more nights to tend to your pet. Prices for pet-sitting will vary based on length of the visit. Nationally, pet sitting prices range from $20 to $30, although prices run higher for your sitter to stay the night. Prices will also be affected by where you live in the country. Here are some examples of average pet-sitting prices based on length of time and region:

  • 30-minute visit: $17 in a small Texas town.
  • 30-minute visit: $25 in Southern California.
    • 45-minute visit: $28.
    • 60-minute visit: $32.
  • Overnight stay (10 hours): $50 in Texas.
  • Overnight stay (10 hours): $85 in Southern California.
    • 12 hours: $100.
    • 24 hours: $200. This is a good option for a sick, elderly or brand-new pet that needs constant supervision.

How much does it cost to hire a house sitter?

House-sitting can be a lifesaver when you’re leaving town for any length of time. Whether you work remotely, you’re taking a much-needed vacation, or you just want to road-trip for a few days, it’s wise to have a pro keep an eye on your house and pets while you’re gone. Your home is more likely to stay safe and you won’t have to wrangle the kitty into a kennel to travel with you. The national average pet-sitting price ranges between $20 and $30. Pet-sitting and house-sitting costs will vary based on where you live in the country and regional labor rates. Another factor in cost is how long you want the house-sitter to stay. Some people prefer to have the house-sitter stay the night at their house, perhaps to care for an elderly pet or simply to keep a watchful eye on the home at all times. Overnight stays will cost more, ranging anywhere from $50 to $100, depending on services provided. For day visits, house-sitting and pet-sitting prices will increase incrementally the longer the visit and the more service you want performed. For example, a quick 10-minute visit to feed and walk the pet and bring in the mail could be $12.50, a 25-minute visit could be $18, a 40-minute visit $25, and a 50-minute visit $32.
