Introduction: MOVE IT! by bike is rebuilding after losing all our equipment. Each time we are hired gets us closer to replacing our trailers and bicycles so we can be a moving company again. Right now MOVE IT! by bike has one 4x8 trailer that can move one or two pieces of furniture and appliances. As we add more to our fleet we can move entire apartments. We are not there yet but we are getting there. What we can also do furniture assembly, loading and unloading services and furniture relocation within the same building. We strive for happy customers. A happy customer means we did the job well at a fair price.

Tim arrived on time (actually a few minutes early!) and was ready to get to work. In his response to my initial request, he actually had the foresight to ask if I had links to the furniture I wanted assembled so that he could be prepared with requisite tools - and prepared he was. He was pleasant, finished in a timely manner, and even helped to clear boxes and packaging for us. I would [will] request his support for any future help, and have, as well, already referred him to someone else.

Tim was very polite and punctual. Even before the appointment, his communication was stellar. He even came a day earlier when my furniture arrived faster than scheduled. He was very efficient and put together my bed frame, dresser, and nightstand very quickly. I will definitely recommend him to everyone I know and will use him again!

I had a great experience with MoveIt. I was two weeks post-op from back surgery and Tim made the experience very stress free and seamless which counts alot when you are ill, sick and recovering. He did an excellent job assembling a rather complicated entertainment center for me, and I was able to attend to myself while he did his thing!

Tim was so personable, , prompt, and productive. Hey, I'm an English teacher and I like alliteration! Wayfair shorted me a dozen washers and screws so I had to run the hardware store and it took longer than an hour, but he only charged me for the hour although he was at my house for an hour and a half. He assembled a bar stool that had about 60 screws/washers/ et all. In short, what would have taken me three plus hours of cursing and frustration was taken care of by a really nice guy. Thank you, Tim.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was moving from the French Quarter and did not own a car. I got around on a bicycle so decided to move using my bike. I found a large trailer made by Bikes At Work and ordered one. My intention was to use the trailer then store it to use if I needed to move again. During my move many people asked about what I was doing and wanted my number so I could help them move sometime. Sensing a demand I started MOVE IT! by bike.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We moved a client out of the French Quarter to the CBD. Her old place was on the second floor down twisting narrow stairs. Her new place was on the fourth floor up some long steps but no elevator. We had to lower a couch over the balcony to get it out. Six movers were employed for this job. Two at the moving out location to pack and move things out to the street and help load the trailers. Two to pull the trailers with a bicycle from the moving out location to the moving in location and then back to do it again. And two to help unload the trailers and bring everything up to the moving in place. MOVE IT! by bike completed this job in less time than predicted and under budget.
