- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I have two cosmetology licenses which require continuing education. Also I voluntarily take continuing education classes to keep up to date with new trends and techniques. I received my Redken Certified Colorist Certification recently which was voluntary but is something I am very proud of. It gave me so much knowledge of every product and technique to make me perfect my work.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I come from a line of hairstylist. I am a fourth generation in my family. I grew up in hair salons, charging stylist $5 to wash and fold towels on Saturdays. I remember just sitting and watching a person change, physical and emotional as the appointment went on. To see someone just feel better about themselves from something you did is just a moment and feeling you can't forget.
