About
OpExcellence Facility Services, LLC (DBA OpExcellence Tree and Stump Pros) is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) tree service company focused on serving the ARK-LA-TEX Region. We believe our name says it all...we are about operational excellence. We realize that doing excellent work at a fair price keeps us in business. We are highly responsive and pay attention to the minor details that can be the difference between an average outcome versus an outstanding end result. We want our customers to be delighted every time we finish their project. We have an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist on our Team (Mr. Jonathan Brasfield), who provides subject matter expertise and consultation on tree-related projects.
We have to be passionate about what we do and we are. We believe it shows in the quality of our work and ultimately in the satisfaction of our customers. We enjoy meeting great people and doing this work for a reasonable price, so that our customers can focus on what they would rather be doing. It makes for a synergistic relationship.
As a SDVOSB, we appreciate the value of those heroes who serve others and who toil to provide essential community needs. For that reason, in recognition of the selfless service of our military, government civilian employees, teachers and educators, health care employees, police, firemen, and other First Responders, we offer a 5% appreciation discount off our project prices. This is our small way to give back to those you who give so much of yourselves to taking care of our communities.

Mr. JB was great to work with as was his whole team. My job seemed particularly challenging (to me) because they had such a tight space to get this tree down. They did an excellent job, no damage anywhere, and left the site clean. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Mr. JB is very knowledgeable and professional. His work is immaculate and I think he is fair. Explained everything he was doing and offered some additional advise about my trees, which I took. I will definitely use him again.

I reached out to pro on a Friday for tree work that was completed the next day. I had several very large trees that had not been touched for many years that were severely overgrown. The team went out, trimmedtrees, cut wood for firewood and stacked wood for later use. The pro was very communicative by providing photos of the before state, during state and final state of the project which was instrumental as I live 4 hours from the property site.

Jb was such a kind person to work with. He was an incredibly hard worker. We had 4 huge trees taken down. The job ended up being bigger than he anticipated. He came back and spent over time, late into the evening, digging out the roots for us. In the end, we were very pleased both with his work and his virtuous character!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Given that we provide services that are tailored to the unique needs of each customer, we do not provide a standard price list. However, we do ensure that there is mutual agreement on the written quote provided and an authorization from the customer to begin work before we start so that there are no surprises. What we agree on is what the customer pays with no hidden fees or charges...period.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The most important thing in building a new customer relationship is being accessible and being a great active listener. We take the time to understand the customer's articulated and inferred needs and tailor our service to deliver against those goals. We use our substantial subject matter expertise to offer the broadest array of options and to ensure mutual understanding of the desired end state. We commit our pricing to a formal written quote with detailed line items through QuickBooks, which allows seamless conversion of estimates to invoices. It offers the customer the online convenience of making secure project deposits and payments using the form of payment of their choice. We offer dates of availability to perform the work and clarify what the expected timing for completion of the project will be so that the customer can plan appropriately. We provide instructions for any special needs, such as coordination with local utilities or with neighbors. Finally, we never begin work without a mutual acceptance of our offered pricing, as well as receipt of the customer's approval and Notice to Proceed. If it is a significant project, we will typically require a project deposit of 33% to 50% of the project total cost upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed. This ensures we have the operating cash flow to order materials and reserve any specialty equipment needed. The remaining balance is due ONLY AFTER the work has been completed. We generate payment receipts for all funds received from our customers to ensure 100% accounting transparency.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist on staff. This is the preeminent tree service certification available in the USA. He is licensed in Louisiana but regularly performs tree service in Texas and Arkansas, where no licensure is required.
