FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Given that we provide services that are tailored to the unique needs of each customer, we do not provide a standard price list. However, we do ensure that there is mutual agreement on the written quote provided and an authorization from the customer to begin work before we start so that there are no surprises. What we agree on is what the customer pays with no hidden fees or charges...period.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The most important thing in building a new customer relationship is being accessible and being a great active listener. We take the time to understand the customer's articulated and inferred needs and tailor our service to deliver against those goals. We use our substantial subject matter expertise to offer the broadest array of options and to ensure mutual understanding of the desired end state. We commit our pricing to a formal written quote with detailed line items through QuickBooks, which allows seamless conversion of estimates to invoices. It offers the customer the online convenience of making secure project deposits and payments using the form of payment of their choice. We offer dates of availability to perform the work and clarify what the expected timing for completion of the project will be so that the customer can plan appropriately. We provide instructions for any special needs, such as coordination with local utilities or with neighbors. Finally, we never begin work without a mutual acceptance of our offered pricing, as well as receipt of the customer's approval and Notice to Proceed. If it is a significant project, we will typically require a project deposit of 33% to 50% of the project total cost upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed. This ensures we have the operating cash flow to order materials and reserve any specialty equipment needed. The remaining balance is due ONLY AFTER the work has been completed. We generate payment receipts for all funds received from our customers to ensure 100% accounting transparency.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist on staff. This is the preeminent tree service certification available in the USA. He is licensed in Louisiana but regularly performs tree service in Texas and Arkansas, where no licensure is required.
