This was my first lesson and Scott did a great job of getting me familiar with the basics of a guitar. He also gave me some great finger practices to do to develop proper finger placement.

Scott taught my daughter for a little over a year and I saw her progress much more quickly than I expected her to. I found she was playing much better than other youngsters who had been taking lessons more than twice the time she had. Mr Lee makes the time of learning fun and much more like a "jam session" than a formal lesson. However you can expect him to teach tablature, scales, exercises and to challenge the student while working at a pace tailored to your needs. He worked on things that interested my daughter as well which is great for a student who doesn't always think inside the box. And yes, she learned to play many songs which made her feel a sense of accomplishment. I cannot recommend Scott enough! If we hadn't moved to Texas, we wouldn't have stopped our sessions. Scott is an excellent teacher. He knows how to make lessons easy to learn and will teach you based on the kind of music you like to listen to. I've played for three years but his guidance has definitely opened me up to new ways of playing and has inspired me to get back into playing my guitar regularly again.

Scott really is passionate about music and ensured that I had fun while learning. He focuses on technique while being flexible and patient with beginners. He always made me feel comfortable even when I would make mistakes and get frustrated with myself. Looking forward to many more sessions and for his experience his fees are more than reasonable and totally worth it! You tube videos and such are nothing compared to one on one teaching with live interaction and feedback.
