What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer all inclusive pricing for events. My main price will include everything you need for an event (Music, MC, Lighting).
Additional uplighting, photobooth etc available upon request.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We have a quick discovery call so I can understand their needs. If they wish to move forward I will send a contract and require a 20% deposit to hold the date.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been DJing for decades. I have almost 400 weddings under my belt at this point (2017)
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was a passion for me when I was in highschool in the 90's. I started with vinyl and CD's and worked my way through all the technology changes throughout the years. The tech makes the job easier but the core principals are all the same.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Weddings, Birthday Parties and Corporate Events.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I was able to take a gig VERY last minute (started in 1 hour). I showed up with just enough time to setup and it ended up being a success.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Research questions to ask a DJ (especially for a wedding!). There's a lot that goes into this that may not be obviously at first glance so you want to make sure the person you hire is experienced.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
How long have you been DJing? Do you have insurance? How do you get people to dance? How current are you with your equipment? How do you dress at an event? Do you play censored music? How do you handle requests? etc.
