FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Far too often I've seen coaches push their clients into prepaying for expensive programs costing thousands of dollars. That's not how I work. I never ask anyone to buy and prepay for any sort of “package”. I find the best way to build an open and trusting relationship with clients is to ensure they see value in each conversation, and that they never feel locked in to anything. That is why I only charge per session. Our first 20 minute introductory session is always free. After that, each one-hour session costs $110, and payment is due in full prior to our meeting. You can pay at time of booking with a credit or debit card. And, if you just need someone to talk to, remember our first conversation is always free. You are not alone in this, and we will get through it.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We’ll start with a free, 30-minute introduction conversation. This gives us both a chance to get to know each other, to discuss challenges you are facing, and ultimately to evaluate if working together makes sense. Assuming it does, you will be able to book your first session right away for the following week. It’s important to have a week between each conversation, as you will be assigned homework after each session. This helps ensure progress with each meeting and helps you get the most out of your investment. And yes. There is homework. After many of our conversations, I will often direct you to take some perceived action (usually not taking more than an hour our two) to ensure you continue to make progress toward your goal. No two clients are the same, nor will they need the same thing from me. Typically, we meet virtually weekly for a period of five or six weeks. However, there is no "standard" and there is never a continued obligation. I’ve coached some clients through transitions for over a year, and I’ve had other clients find they have what they need after just a few sessions. Our five-step process to finding your next career: 1. Develop Focus. We will work together to explore who you are, what your skills are (both obvious and hidden), what you want in your next career, and (more important!) what you don’t want. We will use this information to develop goals. 2. Find Direction. We will explore various options and paths that meet your goals, homing in on the one that best fits your needs. 3. Develop your value proposition. Why should a company hire or work with you? Together, we will develop your professional brand to show why you are a great fit for your desired role and how you can add value. 4. Explore opportunities with a guided career search. Depending on what you are looking for, we can develop a personalized job search plan that covers both traditional and innovative methods. 5. Land the job. With interview prep and practice, negotiations training, and on-boarding support, you will have a strong foundation to start your next chapter.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve spent most of my career as a top client manager for one of the largest international staffing and consulting firms in the world. I’ve assisted more than 2500 individuals people find their dream job. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Santa Clara University, a master’s in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University, and I am an ASA Certified Staffing Professional. I’ve spent more than 15 years working with an international organization helping clients to discover who they are, what’s meaningful to them, what are good at and, ultimately, how to leverage all of that to achieve their career and life goals.
