Brian was a wonderful help with our taxes this year! This was my first year running my own business so I went from a super straightforward Turbo Tax kind of return to a very complex one that I didn't understand. Brian discussed our needs with my husband and I, walked me through what info I needed to give him, asked for clarity when required, and put together our taxes in a timely, supportive, respectful and informational way. When we wanted to learn what something meant, he explained it. And when we just wanted him to handle things, he handled them. I would highly recommend Brian to anyone looking for tax support or more generally advice on how to manage their finances. THANK YOU BRIAN!

I hired Brian to do my 2015 taxes which included sale of property, sale of an investment and several other factors. He reviewed my previous years' tax filings, worked hard to accurately apply and leverage the tax code and handled the whole process very thoroughly. He did a great job and I will look to Brian for future financial services.

Brain is a very professional, patient and reliable CFA. He helped me a lot. My previous tax return has back and forth issues to get refund on time. Brain helped me many times to call IRS directly early in the morning(7am) and finally solved my problem.

I needed to get taxes done that I thought were on income that was non taxable. I did not have receipts or other paperwork except my 1099. Brian was wonderful and came out to my house for the first meeting. He was very professional and knowledgeable about all but more than that, he explained everything so that I understood everything and always got back to me with any questions that I had. I will use him for tax filing every year, I trust him!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I give quotes on tax preparation based on the complexity and timing of the deadline. However, if someone opens an investment account with me in the amount of $50K or more, I include tax preparation with the assets-under-management fee.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A client can either work in person or remotely. With the dawn of the technological age, I am able to use secure platforms to work remotely with clients throughout the country.
For investment planning, I will generally have an initial free consultation to ascertain a background. Then I will do a general overview of my investment management capabilities.
For tax preparation services, I will generally look at previous returns and current year documents, then give a price estimate of my services. I will then send the client an engagement letter as well as an invitation to Dropbox so that we can share documents going forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, the continuing education requirements in my line of work is extensive. For the CFP certificate for example, the requirement is 25-30 hours a year in continuing education classes.
