We hired Thomas Bakalars to assist us in applying for special permit to change a flower shop (retail services) into general office space. Thomas reached out right away and scheduled a time to meet our team directly at the site. He was professional and well educated on exactly what needed to be done. We did meet with other architects and Thomas was definitely the right one for the job. We highly recommend Thomas and and his team. They finished the job on our very tight time frame and we look forward to working with Thomas in the future.

Tom was my architect on two multifamily projects
His knowledge of zoning laws and how to maximize FAR were critical to the financial success of my projects
Unlike most architects Tom understood that we not only needed an efficient and attractive interior and exterior but most importantly for the developer a design that maximizes the potential profit.

Tom designed an addition -- a large and spectacular three season porch for our home. It changed our rather typical colonical house into a really nice house. Everyone who walks into our house comments on it -- workmen, artists, friends, family, realtors. It fit perfectly with our existing house and with the yard -- it brought the pleasant view of the garden backing up to a natural area into the whole back of the downstairs. The project was not costly compared to what we gained. My husband and I highly recommend him.
