About
I've been tutoring students in reading/English, math, and science since 2021, working with families across the country to build individualized learning plans that get real results. I ensure that students get a plan tailored to what they need, rather than using a one-size-fits-all curriculum. Beyond tutoring, I bring a background that most tutors don't: I'm a Northeastern University Public Health graduate with a Business Administration minor and a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) credential. I've worked in healthcare operations and data analysis roles where I had to track outcomes, communicate progress clearly to stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities at once. These are skills that translate directly into how I track student progress and keep families informed. I also spent years as a swim instructor working one-on-one with kids of all ages, so I'm comfortable meeting students where they are, whether that's a 2nd grader or a high schooler.

Anna tutored my daughter in math, reading, social studies, and science for about 2 years. She was easy to schedule with and always showed up prepared with a plan for what we needed to work on that week. Her grades improved, and she helped my daughter pass fifth grade. She kept me updated after each session so I always knew what he was struggling with. Would recommend.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

$40/hour. Rate reflects 4+ years of tutoring experience and a track record of measurable student improvement. Discounts available for multi-session packages.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When a new client reaches out, I start with a free 30-minute session to get to know the student, understand their current level, and identify where they're struggling. This helps me build an individualized plan tailored to their specific needs rather than using generic worksheets. After that first session, I outline a plan for what we'll focus on and how often we'll meet. During ongoing sessions, I track progress and send parents a quick recap after each one, so they always know what we covered and how their student is doing. I adjust the plan as we go based on what's working and where new gaps show up.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health with a Business Administration minor from Northeastern University (graduated May 2026), along with a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification from the Project Management Institute. While my degree isn't in education, my coursework and experience have given me strong skills in breaking down complex information, communicating clearly, and tracking progress toward goals — all things that translate directly into effective tutoring. I've also spent 4+ years running my own tutoring business, working with students in reading/English, math, and science, and developing individualized curricula based on each student's needs. Additionally, I have several years of experience as a swim instructor, where I worked one-on-one with kids of all ages teaching new skills and communicating progress to families.
