- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $25 for a consultation and then $60 for each styling session. For delivery and total personal shopping, it is a flat rate of $45. I don't charge much because I want to reach a wider realm of clients and then work to build relationships with them.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If I were a customer looking for a personal stylist, I would talk to a few to get a feel for who they are before you hire them. Some personal stylists just want to change your style to fit the latest trends, those are the ones you want to avoid if you want to just enhance your personal style.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Personal styling actually takes a lot of research. I am constantly reading blogs, scrolling through Instagram, and perusing the latest fashion magazines.
