My son has been working with Ryan and Patrick in ACT prep online. They are both excellent.
Very good tutor. I used Michael for my 9th grade son who needed help with AP Physics and for my 7th grade daughter you needed help with Algebraic word problems. Both kids felt extremely comfortable working with Michael. Michael is extsremely organized, has an excellent command of the subject matter and goes that extra mile for the children he tutors. Both kids felt more comfortable with the material after working with Michael.

We've had wonderful results in the form of stellar scores and tremendously appreciative feedback from clients, as well as numerous and regular referrals and recommendations. Former students have attended or currently attend excellent colleges: Tufts, MIT, Georgetown, and Johns Hopkins, to name a few.
My Master's program requirement included a Biostatistics class. It was clear from the results of my first exam that I would need a tutor to pass this course. Apratim was incredibly intelligent. Getting through the coursework was extremely difficult, and Apratim was patient and thorough every step of the way. He was also flexible in working around my scheduling availability. If it were not for Apratims tutoring, I never would have passed Biostatistics. I highly recommend Apratim for your tutoring needs.
I tutor math, such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, charts and graphs, etc. Along with the subject matter, I can teach test-taking strategies and how to approach questions and problems effectively. Most importantly, I strive to build confidence in students, because confidence is key. Up until last year, I tutored many adults who were seeking to earn GEDs (although my tutoring is not limited to adults). I teach, tutor, and lecture on myriad sub-topics of financial literacy. I have a keen ability to explain complicated financial and financial-related concepts so anyone can understand them. I am adept in all aspects of personal finance, so I can cover just about everything, such as budgeting, savings and investments, credit building and/or credit repair, life insurance, etc. You get the point. My approach is generic. I do not give specific advice on either investing or buying life insurance. I am not licensed to do so, but I am most capable of teaching you what you need to know, including the kinds of professionals you should seek out when ready to do business. I possess top-notch language and writing skills. I am especially able to assist with paper writing, such as work reports, white papers, term papers, essays, written homework, etc., and of course, spelling and proper grammar. I believe that "chemistry" between student and tutor is very important to maximize results. It's not only beneficial for student motivation, it also facilitates my quest to understand how the student learns and, therefore, to teach accordingly. Getting the student to the correct answers is not nearly as important as getting her/him to understand how s/he got that correct answer. For your confidence and comfort, I am happy to offer up to TWO HOURS, AT NO CHARGE and without further obligation, for us [me, student and parent (if applicable)] to get acquainted before deciding. A little conversation, a little tutoring, and no cost. I hold a BS, an MBA and an MS in Finance. How can I help YOU?
If you want to reach the SAT or ACT score you are seeking, Lisa Kay is the right tutor for you! Whether you need total test prep, or to just brush up on one or two sections, I'll work with you to explain all you need to be successful on the test! When it comes to test preparation, my successes are numerous, and proudly include helping students achieve perfect scores on the SAT and the ACT in 2011,2012,2013, and 2014. Through a series of test-taking tactics and strategies, I have helped many students achieve the scores they needed to attend the colleges of their choice. Average score increases of 200 points for the SAT and 4 points for the ACT via SKYPE...based on actual test sitting or full length practice tests. I have tutored students in CT, Amsterdam and Moscow via skype. It's highly effective. I demonstrate how the tests work, help you isolate and improve your weaknesses, and develop a program to raise your baseline score. You will learn the format and scoring of the exam and how you can use these to your advantage, as well as the best test-taking strategies and tactics for each section of the exam. Understanding how the tests are created is the key to doing your best on them. As a full-time, long-term test tutor, (and 3-time Ivy Grad), I have studied the exams to find the patterns and problems with taking them. I have also been an SAT Essay Reader and will provide you with a killer essay template designed to get you a double-digit essay score. The tutoring can be focused on the entire tests, or just on your weaknesses. You will be given practice exams throughout the tutoring to measure your progress. The tutoring is based on your specific needs... no classes for the masses. My students love tutoring via Skype! Why not give it a try? This year, my students are in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Indiana, New York, Amsterdam, Vietnam and Moscow.
I have received help with multiple writing assignments in school, ACT tutoring, and supplement and college essay help. I do not know what I would do without Lisa! She has helped me go from a B english student to an A student. She has also done a great job working with me on my supplements and college essay. My english teacher and college counselor loved them! For my ACT scores, she helped me get a 33 on my first ACT in the reading section and helped me go from a 24 to a 35 in the english section.
I'm a practicing attorney available for SAT tutoring. Hi! My name is Daryl, and I am a 29-year-old female attorney in the Boston area. I am currently working as a public defender in Cambridge/Somerville/Malden, and I am now offering tutoring to high school students in the area. I completed a comprehensive SAT tutoring course with an educational company in Newton in December 2014, but decided to tutor privately due to the number of students I would have been required to take on with the tutoring company. I have tutored a variety of SAT students over the past year in preparation for the March/June/October, and now December 2015 tests. I begin by administering a diagnostic test that will help me to assess a particular student's strengths and weaknesses, and then tailor my approach to achieve the highest point increase possible. With homework and weekly 1.5 hour sessions, I have seen an average increase of 100 points per section. I am looking to share the knowledge that I have about the structure of the test and the substantive material with students to help them reach their potential. During high school, I scored 790 in the math section. I recently retested and also scored well above 700 on both the reading and writing sections. I am well-versed in all sections of the test, and I am familiar with the strategies and "tricks" to approaching specific types of questions and the test as a whole. Although I am now a bit more specialized in research/writing as an attorney, I was a self-proclaimed "math kid" in high school. I was a member of the math team and completed AP Calculus during my junior year of high school. During my senior year of high school, I took Calculus 2 and Multivariable Calculus at Wesleyan University, a university located minutes away from my high school in Connecticut. In addition to my academic qualifications, I am a seasoned tutor. Since high school, I have tutored a variety of subjects, both through school programs and as a private tutor. Most recently, I spent a year teaching English as a second language to a young woman from Honduras. I am patient, encouraging, enthusiastic, and kind in my demeanor. I try to make learning new material fun and interactive. I enjoy helping young people feel more confident in their abilities, and I am eager to share my knowledge! Please contact me if you think I could be a good fit. Thank you for your time!
Some tutors are very knowledgeable. Some have a lot of experience. Heather is a rare combination of off-the-charts smarts, tons of experience, highly credentialed AND super warm, personable, patient and intuitive. She's been a great source of help and support for my son over the past couple of months as he prepared to take the SSAT. They worked hard and they had a lot of laughs together. He took a diagnostic test in September. After preparing with Heather he sat for the real SSAT in November and his score doubled. (I am not exaggerating.) If you hire her you will be more than satisfied.
we highly recommend Anthony to tutor your child their college prep needs. he is very knowledgeable with SAT OR ACT and college application process.
Learning Quest has been working with my current Senior and 8th grader for a few years now. We've had experience with other tutors but they did not measure up to the wealth of knowledge and skills that are available through Learning Quest. My senior has benefited from the knowledge transfer of Learning Quest for his SAT, and ACT prep, college and high school essay work, organizational coaching, homework and agenda tracking/planning. My 8th grader has benefited from MCAS support, essays, long-term project planning, and reading comprehension. Beth has supported my kids in all of the primary subjects. I would highly recommend services through Learning Quest in Ashland, MA.
