When it comes to big companies or even small companies with a few employees you the customer is just another job just another $$ bill standing in their way to the next job with this attitude they just want to go quickly finish as fast as they can take your money and do as many jobs a day because they work on quantity or in many cases many companies use subcontractors that are not working for the company they dont get paid by the hour they get a share of your totally bill and so is the company that invest allot of money in advertising, so as you by now starting to understand the subcontractors have incentive to over charge you as much as they can and to do as less as possible Because 1) they dont care since you are not the subcontractor actual customer so even if you wont be happy it will stick to the company 2) so he can make it to next job and make even more money he knows and the company know that this a one time job and youll never call them back again so instead in working and investing on building relationships and reputation with the customers they invest allot on advertisements that target random customers in a huge quantity!! On the other hand in my business each customer is everything to me each job I give everything I have and do whatever I can to provide the customers the best results possible with me each customer its not just a job I see it as a life time long term relationship when I have a customer they feel so satisfied and trust me to the point that any time in the future that they need to clean something whether its to clean a sofa or carpet they call me again and again and they referr to me their family and friends because they trust me and they know I will take care of them in the best way possible when they call me...
