I am learning how to play the cello for the first time and I am extremely happy that I was able to find James to help me with my musical journey! James makes me feel very comfortable during our sessions and is an amazing instructor. It honestly is like talking with a long time friend when we have our sessions. I have had 4 sessions so far and I have enjoyed every one of them. He is flexible to meet during the week and on weekends and gives his undivided attention for the duration of the lesson. I will definitely be recommending James to my family and friends!

I found James through a mutual friend and have had 3 lessons with him so far. He has been GREAT—I’m an adult learner and struggle with perfectionism, so his calm and super friendly demeanor, reassurance, and clear and easy way of breaking down concepts have been wonderful. I’m happy with how I’m progressing and have felt great coming out of each lesson. He clearly knows his stuff and has a knack for explaining concepts, and has given me a ton of helpful tips to avoid tension while playing. I’m excited to keep working with him and definitely recommend James to anyone looking to start learning guitar!
