We are family own and operated business. Colman Electric was started by my father Kevin Colman in 1976. My dad and three of his brothers work here. I have been working with my dad since he open in 1976. My husband John is a master electrician who know runs the business. WE truly care about the quality of our work! Everyday is different we do a very simple receptacle change out to a complete 600 amp three phase service. Always meeting new people and connect with our previous customer is great.

Three outdoor motion sensor lights were installed on house exterior. Wires had to be pulled for each. Could not be more pleased with experience. The work was completed within one week of my putting in request on thumbtack. Their office responded within an hour, owner came over to review project the next day, and the crew of 2 completed the work in under 6 hours 2 business days later. End to end excellence.

Nancy was very helpful when I explained what I needed -- an evaluation of knob and tube wiring. The electrician arrived five minutes early and did a very professional and thorough job. I am awaiting a cost estimate for removing the knob and tube, and if I can afford it, I will not hesitate to hire Colman.

I started by replacing 1 chandelier and then needed to replace exhaust fan in bathroom, remove and replace old ceiling fan in kitchen, fix several other lights, etc. everything was done perfectly showing a lot of experience and flexibility. I was advised on best replacement parts. Things were explained to me along the way to make sure I make safe and good use of all lights. Highly recommended service!!

Yes 21 hours the National Electrical Code is always updating itself.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I follow my father, he is a wonderful man. Who loved his job, I love mine too.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Wiring a new electrical service, new meter socket and circuit breaker panel. Wiring in new recess lighting. Wiring in new receptacles with separate circuits.
