Introduction: Given my fashion photography background, I really try to pursue authentic and beautiful imagery. My aspiration is for you to look like your best and yet to maintain your charm and character. I really want to create a wonderful experience for my clients and I believe that comfort shows in my imagery. I love all of the people I meet doing photography. It's a diverse field in front and behind the lens. It's eye opening to see how many people can relate to one another in a single photograph and it really shows how people can come together to make beautiful art.

From fashion photography consisting of staged shoots in natural environments using natural poses and light, to an ever evolving art photography, and studio work; Ashley Soong presents all of these disciplines to a very high standard. It seems obvious by her work that she is interested in looking back at some of the really great photographers from a few decades ago and understanding that their longevity is dependant on accepting change and reinventing their style all the time; fashion photography can become dated and stale almost as quickly as the fashions they showcase, so it is important to push the boundaries beyond the norm. With a new interest in street photography it is impossible to deny the beauty of Ashley's world view as seen through a sophisticated eye, combining solid contrasting shadows draped in yellow natural sunlight and figures moving between them that seduce you to look into looking further into the composition, and question the motive of the aesthetic, a trick perfected by painter Edward Hopper and director Alfred Hitchcock.

Ashley is a bright young star on the rise in the world of high fashion photography. When I have modeled for her I have seen her passion and strong vison produce some of the most beautiful pictures taken of me. Her experience as a model herself has given her a great understanding of the geometry of the body and face which she utilizes in her work. Her cool relaxed attitude makes her very easy to work with and she gave me a lot of freedom to actually model and not just be a clothes hanger. Ashley is definitely one of my favorites in the industry and I am continually impressed with the quality of her work!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our packages typically start at $4500/day which includes 200 images of your choice edited from the ceremony and reception. Images will be delivered to you within a week of your event date. Additional packages such as photo booths, wedding preparation photography, and engagement portraits are also available depending on your needs. Rates are negotiable depending on your needs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically we have a phone consultation and/or in person consultation. Then we do an in-person review of the venues with the client. Edited photos are typically delivered within one business week of your event date.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The Wedding Albums is led by chief photographer Ashley Soong. She has 5 years experience photographing for various fashion, commercial, and event clients. Her work has been published in various magazines such as Harper's Bazaar Australia, The Boston Globe, Fast Company, and Schon!.
