We hired TLC for a localmove to the next town over, including packing, and I could not have been happier with the entire process. They were competitively priced, friendly, efficient, and flexible.
Florin, the owner, has a calm and reassuring presence. This is not something I would have thought to look for in a moving team, but it ended up being an unexpected perk, lowering our stress levels during the overwhelming moving process! We felt we were in good hands with TLC.
After the initial contact, Florin came over to look around our apartment and give an estimate. (We ended up going over the estimated number of hours, but I actually kind of expected that, given that we have so much stuff!) Their rates were some of the lowest I could find, and they were happy to use our boxes instead of insisting that we had to use theirs.
Florin was extremely fast in answering some follow-up questions I had before the move, and he called me the day before to check in.
The packing team arrived on time and were efficient and professional. They were flexible in accommodating our needs (we hadn't completely finished packing and needed to leave some things to tidy up ourselves after the move), and I didn't feel rushed or judged.
They were able to get more done during the packing day than I expected, and they came again promptly the following day to move us. Everything went smoothly, and we were settled into our new place by the afternoon. Before leaving, they asked us to look around and see if there was anything we wanted them to move to a different spot, etc. Florin kindly changed the orientation of the new fridge door, which isn't part of the job description, I'm sure!

TLC Moving did such a wonderful job! Our others movers backed out at the last minute, and TLC really saved us. We called them the day on Tuesday, they picked up our things the next day (Wed), and then moved and unloaded them 700+ miles away on Friday. I can't praise them enough!

The overall total was a lot more than I anticipated, and I only hope the three men who worked extremely hard gets most of what I paid. They were kind and quick, and one of them even fixed a lamp that was broken. He was also meticulous at disassembling and assembling both beds. All three were excellent. Please prepare lots of water and even snacks for the movers, because they are expending a ton of energy during the process!

TLC Moving was great. They got me from Boston to LA for a great price. Everything arrived in very good shape. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to make a move! Florin was really responsive and always kept me updated. I ended up needing a few weeks of storage and it was very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!
