Once in a while we experience something in our lives that exceeds our expectations. That describes my experience with Ray Gendreau. Ray listened to my challenges and goals and he designed a program that was customized to my needs. My condition resulted from years of poor diet and lack of exercise and a sedentary lifestyle. Since I wanted to work at home rather than go to a gym or studio, Ray came to my home and developed a program that addressed my needs using the limited equipment that I have (exercise bike, resistance bands and a yoga mat). Ray's method as a trainer is to challenge you, within your limits, while encouraging you by making you aware of your progress. Ray also taught me how to make better choices with the food that I eat. I actually took some of my favorite foods out of the cabinets and he analyzed the labels to look at the nutrition printed on the labels. I was shocked at how many of the food items that I purchased had little or no food value at all. Ray made me aware of the fact that simply by making better food choices, I could lose weight without being on a strict diet. Ray also texted me during the week to see how I was doing. I would say that Ray exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend him to anyone considering the services of a personal trainer.

Very knowledgable - makes you feel comfortable. I'm just starting my second month with Ray, and it is TOTALLY worth the investment! Ray gives a great combination of support and "tough love" to push you to do your best. Don't hesitate - call Ray if you want success!

Training with Ray for the past four months I have lost over 30lbs and witnessed an incredible body transformation I didn't believe was possible. More importantly with Ray's constant encouragement, inspiration and patience I have begun to regain self confidence and to realise my own self worth. It has not been an easy journey but Ray has not allowed me to give up. I have been working with Ray for a little over two months now after looking online for a trainer to help me regain my strength after a debilitating back injury I sustained this past year. Bottom line - It has been worth every penny and drop of sweat I've invested. If you're looking for individualized training and are willing to put in the work, then he is most definitely someone you should hire. If you decide to hire Ray here are some things you can expect: - responsiveness in e-mails, texts, phone calls and follow up from the start - professionalism in the work he offers and how he conducts business - value as you can completely customize what it is you're looking for in terms of personal results - positive attitude that makes you want to improve because he always sees you as more capable than you see yourself

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    I do have standard pricing and will provide that to all perspective clients.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    First contact is usually made by telephone or email to discuss the specifil goals of the client and their current fitness level. I then send a client multiple questionnaires to help me better understand my clients habits, strengths and weeknesses. I also require a dietary log of three days from all clients. Once all questionnaires are complete, they are evaluated and appointment is set to review and as a team come up with a course of action based on the goals and time frame of my client.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Look for a trainer who listens to your fitness goals and avoid one's who put their fitness goals on you. Also avoid "coaches" who are not certified personal trainers selling supplements, meal replacements programs.
