Interior Painting

I can't even begin to describe how amazing it was working with Knot & Nail. Dan showed up within a day of contacting him to do a free estimate for painting the entire interior of our house and was willing to start the job the next business day. He discussed many different things with us regarding the job such as the speed we needed it done, budget and our ideas for what we wanted. From the time I contacted Dan to the time he finished the job, which was only 7 days for an ENTIRE house, the communication was outstanding. He followed up with us after the estimate and once hired, he let us know every day when he was on his way. He gave daily updates which helped us to know where we were at with the amount of paint we had left and when we could expect the job to be finished. We were extremely impressed by the level of professionalism from Knot & Nail. Each room was painted immaculately. Dan's work area was always kept clean and neat and was completely picked up at the end of each day. Bottom line is if you're looking to paint your home but are hesitant to spend the money to have it done, DON'T BE! Hire Knot & Nail and sit back while the job is done better than you could imagine! The pricing is great, the paint job is amazing and Dan and his wife, Daniella, are two very talented and kind people that we definitely would work with again.

Interior Painting

Dan did a fantastic job painting the fix up house we just purchased. He and his painting partner wife were great in many ways. First, they responded quickly and adjusted their schedule to meet our tight timelines. They gave us a fair price after a little haggling- as it should be. Their work was excellent- neat, smooth, beautiful. We are esp happy about the living room tin ceiling they painted. We recommend them highly.

General Contracting

We hired Dan to update our bathroom (new tub, toilet, tile, and painting). He did a great job and was up front with the costs as well as being flexible with last minute changes we wanted. We would recommend hiring Dan for any of your home improvements.

Interior Painting

Even before starting Dan was upfront in estimating the cost of the project and answered all my questions. During the project Dan and his wife were on time, thorough, efficient and most of all extremely clean. He always kept us informed of changes and progress of the job and even made friends with Cooper our black lab. Dan and his wife made it easy to get the job done and we will have them back to help us in the future.

Deck Staining and Sealing

We hired Dan to stain our 2 decks. We highly recommend Dan! His work was done so well - meticulous, beautifully done and he left the work site clean at the end of every work day. We had to work around the weather and Dan kept in touch throughout the project. His price was very reasonable. The final estimate based on the site visit ended up being maybe $20 more than the one we received online. This was very fair because the deck had some finicky spots that would take a lot of time. (This is in contrast to another Thumbtack referral who more than doubled his initial online estimate.) We will definitely hire Dan hire for any future projects.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First and foremost I like to meet my customers face to face and learn a little about them. I believe in growing a strong relationship with my customers above all else otherwise there is no solid foundation for communication. Once a relationship is established I discuss the project with them, we go over options and alternatives, and finally what will be the end result/product.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started out as a plumber when I was 18. I went through an apprenticeship program for a few years until discovering a passion for carpentry. Not just carpentry but all kinds of work. I love the variety that comes with my job, going week to week with a different job, or project, ahead of me. Ever since starting in trade work I've always had a desire to learn as much as I could and continue to grow my skill set as time progressed.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Any and all types. From all different backgrounds. I will never turn down a person that is looking for an honest hard worker. Though, I'll be honest, not all customers are the most pleasant or easiest to deal with, I still keep to the task and work until the job is done and they are satisfied with the final product.
