FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with a new customer begins the moment that they schedule their shoot. Upon scheduling, I ask the client for a deposit that can be paid via check or PayPal. If a client is booking a wedding, I also ask for a signed contract. Next, I like to work out the details with them- location, wardrobe, etc.- through an email exchange or scheduled phone call. I like to ask every new client specific questions about what they are looking for + provide suggestions to help them achieve it. This also provides a great opportunity to get to know one another a little bit. I confirm all of these details again about a week before the shoot- times, addresses, contact information- so that there is absolutely no confusion on the day of. Final images are then delivered 10-14 days after a shoot via a digital download or custom USB + upon receiving payment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied photography in college + have worked under incredibly talented photographers in New York, Boston, Austin, and North Carolina. I have worked as a freelance, professional photographer for just shy of ten years.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I went to college in Boston + found myself befriending quite a few musicians at Berklee College of Music. Many of them started asking me to take their portraits + suddenly I was getting emails from people in New York asking me to take their portraits, too. Since then, many of those folks have gotten married or started families + called me back to document those milestones.
