We hired Ray to install our bamboo and hickory flooring. Ray puts the customer first and takes his time to 'do things right' instead of just doing a hack job in order to save his bottom line. Even though we had only about 200 ft of flooring, which in normal circumstances would have taken about a day to finish, it turned out that our subfloors were not exactly even or square, and Ray spent the extra time and materials to give us the best possible outcome given the non-ideal situation. We have found Ray to be professional but also very personable, and this made an otherwise stressful process not so much. We are also using him to do tiles for our tub and walk in shower and are looking forward to receiving the same level of service that we got for the hardwood install.

Details: Engineered hardwood • 100 - 250 sq ft • Yes, I already purchased the flooring • Residential

The road to get there was rocky at times but the finished product was amazing. Ray is a good guy and he takes pride in his work. Very happy with the finished product, many compliments from others. I recommend him.

We hired Ray to renovate our unfinished basement into two bedrooms. We chose Ray because he offered to get us some needed ceiling height (of which other contractors wouldn’t even offer). Ray is meticulous in his approach to doing things right: From digging down our basement floor to get the height we wanted, to applying extra hydraulic cement and coats of foundation sealer to ensure our basement won’t leak, to leveling our staircase so we don’t feel like we’re falling when coming down the stairs. The renovation posed a lot of challenges which included budget/materials, broken dumpsters, and a deadline of finishing in time for a new baby. We made it through and are grateful. Our 2 daughters LOVE their new rooms and we couldn't be happier!

Ray did a great job installing a steel door in my bulkhead. He arrived on time, and finished with the job done to my specifications. Thumbtack made it easy, but Ray made it great!

Have accepted Mill City to replace the original contractor, scheduled to begin work this week. I will update all facets of this review when the job is completed. Update: job completed on time, on budget, and a great job of it. Ray delivered a quality product in some difficult circumstances (weather, site issues that were discovered), and had to perform a lot of hand labor that wasn’t expected. Five stars, he and his crew are conscientious, budget aware, and go the extra mile. Thanks!!
