We needed a quick turnaround on several large and small holes following some water damage and other renovations. The job was done in a week from 1st contact. He was super friendly and the work speaks for itself. Excellent job. The textured ceiling matches perfectly. Will hire again for any drywall and plastering in the future.

Working with Gilson was a pleasure. This was my first time using Thumbtack, so I was new to the experience. Gilson was quick to reach out to me via the app and coordinate to come by and provide a courtesy quote. I had some water damage in a ceiling and walls of a bedroom due to a roof leak, so there was some ceiling repair work as well as wall repairs to be done. The ceiling in the room was a textured ceiling, and I was hoping to remove that as part of the service. In addition to the work scope of the bedroom, I asked to also have some edging issues and touch up work done on the living room ceiling as part of the scope of the service. Gilson provided a quote within the app within a day. ( this would be a two day job) I had some delays with the required roof repairs before I could coordinate with Gilson for the interior work, and he was patient, responsive, and accommodating to my schedule. Prior to the scheduled work day- he confirmed his arrival time and he was spot on. I thought I had done a sufficient job with laying some tarps down, but he went the extra mile with laying and taping protective paper and drop cloths. Upon opening the ceiling, he hit a snag when the upper part of the roof / ceiling was still wet from the prior damage and he immediately advised me that it would need to dry before he was able to continue with the ceiling work. I appreciated his honesty, and he moved onto the wall work while added fans, etc to the room. On the next day, we ensured that the upper ceiling had dried, and he was able to continue on. In the meantime, he was also going to do edging repair on the living room ceiling. Once again, he was thoughtful and helped me move a few things, and laid and taped paper as well as plastic sheeting in doorways. He removed all the texture from the ceiling, replaced the insulation in the affected area, scraped and patched the damaged areas, and repaired the living room as requested. He even patched up some other issues. We elected to paint by ourselves, but had the budget been there - I would have requested this as well! If you need his services I would say - Gilson was- timely, communicative, responsive, honest , great pricing and just an overall nice , honest person to do business with. As a side note, I did have two other non Thumbtack individuals to review this service request, and I am glad that i ended up with Gilson.

Had an excellent experience with Gilson. He fit us into his busy schedule to accommodate our needs. He repaired various size holes in walls and ceilings in two apartments in a 3-unit house. Much of the work consisted of patching holes created by a MassSave company when they blew insulation into the walls. (We hired Gilson because we weren't happy with the quality of the MassSave patchwork.) Gilson is professional, takes pride in his work, pleasant, and does a great job. He did the work himself; it took about four days. I highly recommend and would hire him again.
