Rebecca responded right away and has been easy to reach in between sessions. She is knowledgeable and willing to try anything to help train my 2 dogs - a 7 year old golden and 1.5 year old mix! I would definitely recommend her services!Aug 16, 2017Verified
I was very impressed with For Dogs Sake from the beginning. Rebecca definitely has a way for dealing with problem dogs that causes them to respond gently. Mimi is a rescue dog and 13 years old. She has some aggressive issues with barking and people and the outside world. One of the greatest things I noticed, was how quickly Mimi got comfortable with her. Rebecca is very on point and was able to convince Mimi to respond with no barking, growling, and can only get better from here. Thank you Rebecca and For Dog's Sale. Were already looking forward to our next training session!Mar 20, 2017Verified
When my wife and I adopted our 8 month old black lab mix puppy, we needed a trainer with experience in behavioral issues. Our puppy had an innate fear of strangers in and around our house. Realizing that we had an issue, we contacted Rebecca. Rebecca made it incredibly easy for us, scheduling house visits at our convenience, never expecting pay up front, or putting any pressure on us to use her as the trainer. From the first visit, we knew that Rebecca was a good fit. She got to know our dog, his personality, his body language, and not only was able to give us some helpful pointers on dealing with the extreme anxiety. Rebecca helped us build up our dog’s confidence and teach us strategies to use. She was very responsive to our needs and the needs of our puppy!Oct 13, 2017For Dog's Sake!'s reply
Thank you so much for this positive feedback! It was a pleasure to work with you, your family and your puppy of course! I hope things are continuing to go well for you and I am never more than a call or text away if I can of further assistance. Warm regards, Rebecca
Rebecca is patient with both myself, and my dog. She is eager to answer all of my training questions. She is both progressional, and personable.Mar 30, 2016Verified
Rebecca helped us with clicker training, helping our dog to be less afraid, and thereby accept other dogs and people. It has made a big difference in our dog. She has also walked our dog when we were away which entertained her and gave us peace of mind.Sep 10, 2012Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? All services begin with an initial consultation and from there you can choose a discounted program of three or more private lessons. Your percentage discount is equal to the number of lessons in your program. 3%, 6%, or 10%. When you purchase a 10 lesson program you are getting one lesson for free.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The first step is to make an appointment with me for an initial consult. During that meeting, we talk about the specific goals you want to address and how I teach. In most cases, I will begin with some introductory instruction, before the appointment ends and give a homework assignment to be completed before the next session. Typically, an e-mail is sent afterward with an overview of a training plan, or a written summary of what we discussed and planned during the course of the consult. A session for a new puppy or basic dog training is fairly straight forward and should take no more than 90 minutes. More involved behavioral interventions can take a little more time and involve taking a thorough history and more in depth teaching of the human family before working directly with the dogs. Infrequently, there may be initial appointments where I have minimal to no direct contact with a client's dog, if they are extremely fearful or aggressive.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a proud graduate with distinction and Certified Training Partner of the renowned Karen Pryor Academy Professional Program. I am always continuing my education through seminars, workshops and conferences to stay current and keep my certifications up to date. Most recently I completed the requirements to earn Fear Free Professional Certification, and have been selected as an Official Mentor Trainer by the CATCH Dog Trainers Academy.
