FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on every thousand square feet of your lawn.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I size their lawn up on findlotsize.com. I call the potential client to confirm I have the right house. Once confirmed I send a formal quote via email along with our basic approach letter and a sample soil test so they can familiarize themselves with what one looks like. If I cant size their lawn up on the computer due to heavy tree coverage then I visit the home personally. Once hired I take soil samples from around the entire lawn and send them to the UMASS Plant and Soil Tissue Lab in Amherst. Once I get the results back (usually 2-3 weeks). I call the customer and talk to them about how much lime they need if any. The fertilization takes place immediately after soil samples are taken.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm required to attend 12hrs of classroom time every 3 years to keep myself updated on what going on within the industry which includes but is not limited to: product, entomology, plant pathogens, and more. I attend more than the minimum. Anyone who likes what they do never does the minimum!!! I attend classes at UMASS Amherst once in a while, John Deere Landscapes seminars, and my favorite which I attend every year is New England Grows, a 3 day conference at the BCEC in Boston
