Introduction: When I started dancing, I was a complete newbie to both dance and music. I had never danced a single step in my life, had no idea what salsa music was like, and was in poor shape to boot. Over the years, salsa dancing has transformed my life and given me a tremendously positive outlet to pour my energy into. I want to share my love of dance with others, and also help provide them with the resources to further their own growth.
To that end, I have a very technical and detailed approach to dance that came from my own trials and struggles as a complete beginner. When working with my students, I'm very attentive to their individual hiccups and strengths and try to focus on the latter while informing them about the former.
I also never give up on a student! As long as they're willing, so am I.
I love that moment when the lightbulb clicks on and my student "gets it." It could take days, weeks, or months, but when it happens I live vicariously through their joy.
