Guitar Lessons (for adults)
I am very happy with Craig as a teacher. He comes prepared to our lessons. Always looking for new things to push me to improve my skills. He listens and takes the time to understand my needs as a student. He clearly has a lot of practical guitar knowledge and is able to translate it into simple terms that I can understand.Jun 3, 2016Verified
Guitar Lessons (for adults)
I called Craig to start guitar lessons. We spoke on the phone and set up a Monday at 11:00 am time. He said he couldn't do that Monday and wasn't free anytime that week. As I anxious to meet him and begin lessons I was hoping we could work out a time for this first lesson. Since he couldn't do that, we set up an appointment for Monday the 10th of April at 11:00 am at my apt. He didn't show and wasn't available when I called at 11:10 to see if he was lost, and again at 12:25 when I called to say, I guessed he wasn't coming and has apparently changed his mind about providing instruction. This was my first experience with Thumbtack. They said they would provide 4 teachers names, but only provided one, and as you have read, I'm very disappointed. Don't expect to use their service again. Wayne LivermoreApr 10, 2017Verified

Craigs a great teacher, he's really good at explaining guitar and helped me get the hang of things starting off as a newbie. He'll teach you the songs you want to learn and makes it fun.Dec 12, 2014Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My normal rate is $35.00 per session. That fee includes a 60 minute lesson, my travel time to your location and all printed and downloaded materials. I also offer free telephone and e-mail support between lessons.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I meet with my new guitar students to first determine what their goals and aspirations are. The I conduct as assessment of their current skill level, the type of music they are interested in and thenn craft their personal lesson plan.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I started playing guitar at the age of fourteen. At the age of 20 I went on the road with an older Blues Man and played up to 24 dates a month. During that time I got to meet and play with many players much more advanced than me. It was those meetings that aided my growth. Since that time guitar has been my passion and 40 years later I still study, look for for new and advanced techniques and continue to hone my teaching skills.
