Introduction: I take the time to allow the couple to plan out their wedding so I do not do carbon copy weddings. Each is different and unique because each couple is different and unique. I have officiated at weddings held on the coast of Maine, on the shoreline of Lake Huron in Maine, and on the ocean at Fairhaven. I have done 50"s theme weddings with the bride coming in to the song " Going to the Chapel" instead of the traditional wedding march. I have found ways to incorporate children into the service if couples have children from previous relationships. I have a lot of resources and ideas to share if a couple wants a unique wedding. Other ministers do not provide that option. I like meeting the couple and helping them make their day special.

It's been almost 25 years since Rev. Russ officiated at our wedding. I'm deaf and my husband is hard of hearing as well as legally blind. Rev. Russ worked with us to make sure our service ran smoothly and there were no complications related to our disabilities. He worked with our sign language interpreter before the service and even learned some sign language himself to add enhance the service. As well, prior to the ceremony he was compassionate and frank with premarital counseling to be sure that we were both really ready to tie the knot, and to understand extra issues we might face being a couple with multiple handicaps. He's remained a good friend for all these years, as well. We will celebrate 25 years in June 2015, so we truly appreciate that he helped our marriage get off on the right foot and in the grace of God.

Russ Chamberlain married my husband and I, could not have been more of a awesome experiance, Russ took the time to come to our home and helped us pic our vow's that suited us. Russ is a very caring,devoted, and has the utmost respect for everyone in his life. He has a very strong belief in God. Russ Chamberlain is a man of God and will go the extra mile for anyone.

Working with Rev. Russ Chamberlain has been nothing less said than a God send. He is always a very kind, cuirtious and understanding individual . The funny thing is, I've known him for 5 years, and those are his bad points. He has gone above and beyond for so many people. If there was more of him to go around, I'm sure he would share. Rev. Russ married us in April of 2014. We had our wedding at the Pilgrim Church of Christ in New Bedford. In addition to him being a wonderful officiant, he is a wonderful person. So kind and generous. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a down to earth, fun loving person to marry them!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
God called me to do it and I enjoy being creative and not doing cookie cutter weddings unless that is what the couple wants.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I like to officiate at outdoor weddings and at funerals/memorial that are personal and unique not carbon copy of other services. I will at the request of the parties involved singing as part of the service if music is desired. It is important those involved are willing to meet with me to share what they would like to have as their input is vital to what I try to do which is be original and personal.
